Can the U.S. Livestream an Execution? Here's What to Know | Guilfoyle Allegations, NYC ICE Shooting, Russian Diesel Deal, and More.

Could the U.S. government legally livestream an execution? Today, we break down the planned firing-squad execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan, why the Pentagon initially said it would be livestreamed, why President Trump now says a final decision hasn’t been made, and the constitutional and legal questions that could determine whether a public broadcast is allowed.

We’re also breaking down the allegations surrounding U.S. Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle, including Eric Deters’ $100,000 credit-card claim, the messages at the center of the controversy, what federal bribery law requires, and reports that Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are considering removing her.

Plus: what we know about the ICE shooting of Oscar Belgal in New York City’s Marble Hill neighborhood, the competing accounts of what happened before an ICE agent opened fire, and the legal standard for using deadly force against a moving vehicle.

Then, we explain Trump’s new Russian diesel deal with Vladimir Putin, why lawmakers are questioning whether it violates the 2022 ban on Russian energy imports, who could potentially challenge the deal in court, and whether additional Russian diesel could actually lower U.S. fuel prices.

Also in today’s episode: Trump’s new White House press secretary Katie Zacharia, the latest on Christa Pike, the Ilhan Omar federal search, Border Patrol’s major meth seizure, the FCC dispute involving ABC News, and today’s Critical Thinking questions on government transparency, public executions and human dignity.
